Espressif has officially announced that its first Wi-Fi 6E chip has completed engineering validation and passed all required testing. Mass production is scheduled for the second half of 2025, marking a major milestone in the company’s journey into the era of ultra-fast wireless communication.

Espressif’s new chip is powered by a dual-core, in-house designed RISC-V processor running at 500 MHz. Supporting 2×2 MU-MIMO, Beamforming, and full compatibility with tri-band Wi-Fi 6/6E (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz), it delivers outstanding connectivity for next-generation applications.

In performance testing, the chip achieved up to 2.1 Gbps throughput at 160 MHz channel bandwidth on the 5 GHz band. With integrated high-speed interfaces including PCIe, USB, and SDIO, the chip is designed for seamless integration into a wide range of end devices.
